Margaret's SAGE MOUTAIN STUDIO has moved from the Santa Rosa Mountains above Palm Springs to the Coachella Valley below.  Now surrounded by the mountains, the studio is located in the beautiful "oasis" city of La Quinta, CA.

She began her formal training in the arts with a Bachelors Degree from the University of Minnesota.  Though she works with multiple media, her focus on jewelry design began at the Instituto Allende in San Miguel Allende, Mexico.  She then trained in Master Metalworking at the College of Arts & Crafts, Oakland, CA.  Moving to Taos, NM in the mid 1990s she studied with traditional artist Phillipe Ortega, then began crafting beads & fibers into jewelry and wearable art.
